Center for Equine & Pre-Veterinary Studies Plans Open House

Findlay, Ohio, March 20, 2002 — The University of Findlay’s Center for Equine and Pre-Veterinary Studies, located on County Road 40 south of Findlay, will host an open house on Sunday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Demonstrations in trail, pleasure, cutting, roping and reining will be given, and a farrier (horse shoeing) exhibit will be featured. Calf-roping lessons will be given by UF equestrian studies. Student- and self-guided tours of the facility will be available.
The pre-veterinary medicine barns house a variety of livestock, including goats, sheep, llamas, mules, horses and their babies. A small petting zoo will be available.
Information will also be available on a new summer lesson program for the community.
The event is free and open to the public.
