UF Offers Bachelor’s Degree in Operations and Logistics
Thursday, March 21, 2002

Findlay, Ohio, March 21, 2002 — The University of Findlay’s College of Business has developed a new bachelor’s degree program in operations and logistics.

This academic degree was designed by business leaders to assure excellence in future managers. The program covers the breath of business and trains future leaders and managers to run the operating side of all types of business, from service to manufacturing.

The operations and logistics program is an important addition to The University of Findlay curriculum and a vital academic need in the area. Almost 50 percent of America’s manufacturing business is located within a 400-mile radius of Findlay, and Findlay’s location on I-75 makes a part of the “golden triangle” of logistics and warehousing.

The core of the operations and logistics program is its partnership with regional businesses. The academic program has input from an industrial board to assure that UF students are job ready and market competitive. Internships with many industrial companies are available, as are unique opportunities with transportation, teaching and e-commerce.

Faculty members teaching in the operations and logistics program have published numerous books and professional journal articles on the field. In addition, faculty members have national and international credentials, winning such awards as the USA Today National Quality Cap and the American Society of Quality Professional of the Year.
