Findlay, Ohio, March 8, 2002 — Students at The University of Findlay have been invited to apply for the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship Program.
Scholarships will be awarded in the summer of 2002 for use during the 2002-2003 academic year. In order to be considered for this award, students must be nominated by their institution. The deadline is April 1, 2002.
Awards will fund tuition and fees for the remainder of the scholar’s undergraduate degree. Scholarship monies not used during one academic year are not transferable to the next academic year. Scholarships are renewable each year for the duration of the undergraduate degree program, as long as the scholar continues to meet the eligibility requirements.
To be eligible, students must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university, be a sophomore or junior at the time of nomination and have a high level of achievement as demonstrated by superior grades, academically rigorous courses and participation in challenging extracurricular activities, especially those demonstrating leadership potential.
Interested candidates should contact John Leach, assistant professor of psychology, at 419-434-6917 by March 22.
