34th Annual International Night Slated at UF

Findlay, Ohio, April 8, 2002 — The 34th Annual International Night will be held at The University of Findlay on Friday, April 12, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. in the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex.

More than 25 countries will be represented at this year’s event. Food, history and culture will be shared, and an international café will be featured, allowing visitors to sample cuisine from around the world.

The opening ceremony for the evening events will begin at 7 p.m. with a parade of flags from each country represented. Students will model their traditional clothing during an international fashion show. Ongoing activities throughout the evening will include Tae Kwon Do (Korea), Native American dancing by the Eagle Creek Dancers and several traditional dances and songs.

A program for elementary and middle school students will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students are invited to visit each country and have their passports stamped. Tae Kwon Do demonstrations, folk dances and games will be featured. An arts and crafts area will also be included, featuring 10 arts and crafts from around the world.

The events are free and open to the public.
