Findlay, Ohio, Jan. 7, 2003 — The University of Findlay seeks community participants for its Conversation Partner Program.

Through this program, community volunteers are linked with international students in UF’s Intensive English Language Program. The goal of the program is to help these students improve their English and learn more about the American culture. Conversation partners meet with their international student at least eight times per semester, but meetings can be more frequent if schedules permit.

The Conversation Partner Program includes students with varying degrees of English proficiency from all over the world. The program promotes cultural diversity and cross-cultural communication.

An introductory meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union, North Multipurpose Room for those interested in being involved in the program.
