Weissling Named to UF Board

Findlay, Ohio, Feb. 12, 2003 — The University of Findlay Board of Trustees named Thomas J. Weissling to serve as a trustee during their board meeting on Jan. 17.

Weissling is regional president of Sky Bank-Ohio Bank Region, a position he has held since 2001.

Previously, Weissling was president and CEO of The Ohio Bank from 2000-01. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of trust services for The Ohio Bank and Mid Am Bank from 1998-00.

Weissling began his career with The Ohio Bank in 1990 as human resources manager. In 1992, he became a trust officer and assistant vice president and was again promoted in 1993, this time to vice president and trust officer. He served as greater Hancock County regional president from 1996-98.

A 1987 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Weissling went on to attend the Graduate School of Banking from 1994-96, McKay Hockman Retirement Training Program in 1992, Ohio School of Banking from 1991-92, the Nebraska School of Banking in 1991 and Cannon Schools from 1991-93.

Active in his community and in professional organizations, Weissling is a member of the Findlay Area Personnel Association, the Findlay Estate Planning Council, Findlay Rotary Club, Toledo Estate Planning Council and The University of Findlay’s Bequest and Planned Giving Council, having served as chairman in 1999-00.

In addition, Weissling is an executive member of the Community Development Foundation, serves as a board member for the Blanchard Valley Health Association finance and planning committee and is a trustee for the Hancock Historical Museum Foundation.

Weissling also serves as a coach for the Hancock County Children’s Soccer Association and is a trustee of the First Presbyterian Church.

He and his wife, Jenny, have three children, Alexandra, Drew and Amanda. They live in Findlay.
