Findlay, Ohio, March 7, 2003 —SummerStock at The University of Findlay is seeking up to 30 local actors to participate in its production of The Wizard of Oz July 30 through Aug. 3. Auditions will be held Saturday, March 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Ritz Auditorium in Old Main.

Participants must be available for afternoon and/or evening rehearsals from June 16 through July 29. Six men ages 18 to 40, six women ages 10 to 40 and 18 children ages 8 to 14 and under five feet tall are needed. The audition will consist of a prepared 16-bar song and a short dance. Participants must be able to sing and move well. Children must have the permission of guardians, who must be able to accommodate the rehearsal schedule.

SummerStock at The University of Findlay is the only professional theatre in Findlay. Performers and technicians come from all over the United States to participate in the intensive, eight-week season.
