UF Annual Juried Art Exhibition On Display

Findlay, Ohio, April 17, 2003 — More than 100 works are on display as part of The University of Findlay’s Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition through April 25 in the Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery, Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion.

The show, which was judged by the art faculty at UF, is designed to display what art students have been working on during the academic year and to give UF students an opportunity to have their works objectively judged in a competitive situation.

The awards judge was Susan Cholodewitsch, an art teacher at Seneca East School District and a 2000 graduate of UF.

The best in show award went to Sachiko Kawamura of Findlay. First place awards went to Eric Lee of Findlay in painting, Sachiko Kawamura of Findlay in drawing, Amee Thiel of Findlay in printmaking, Martina Rostorfer of Kenton in ceramics, Kat Jarvis of Pataskala in design, Melissa Faryniarz of Findlay in photography and Laura Beach of Findlay in computer design.

The gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
