Findlay, Ohio, Sept. 10, 2003 — “Little Women,” based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott and adapted by Marion DeForrest, will open the 2003-04 theatre season at The University of Findlay Oct. 1-4 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. in the John and Hester Powell Grimm Theatre.
Set in 19th century New England, “Little Women” is a poignant coming-of-age chronicle of the four March sisters – Jo, Beth, Meg and Amy. The story follows the girls, who grow up in a close-knit family with a loving mother and father, over the course of three years.
The UF production is directed by Vicki McClurklin. Cast members include Coy Schlumbohm as Mr. March, Shaylyn Tewers as Mrs. March, Chelsea Riggs as Meg, Cait Newell as Jo, Christine Hollington as Beth and Natalie Terry as Amy, Jo Wilson as Aunt March, Kyle Kutchenriter as Laurie, Kurt Aller as Professor Frederich Bhaer, Nick Toland as John Brooke and Marie Louden-Hanes as Hannah Mullett.
