UF Clubs to Host Fear Factor Event

Findlay, Ohio, Sept. 15, 2003 — The Oiler Environmental, Safety and Health Organization and the Criminal Justice Club at The University of Findlay will sponsor the second annual Fear Factor competition and barbecue on Saturday, Sept. 27.
The event is open to UF students and alumni, members of the community and high school science students and their advisers from around the state. The event is free for all participants and is designed to present a series of events that will test the mental, physical and emotional abilities of the participants.
Each co-ed team must consist of six participants. Multiple teams from the same school are permissible. Teams will receive their playbook for the competition on Friday, Sept. 26, and every participant will receive a t-shirt.
The event will culminate with a barbecue and awards presentation at 5 p.m. at Koehler Complex. Awards will be given for the best overall team within each category, and individual awards will be given for each event. The best team “call sign,” best team time for each event, best individual time for each event, best individual time within each team and best team time overall also will be recognized.
