UF Math Day Planned

Findlay, Ohio, March 4, 2004 — The University of Findlay has planned its 17th annual Mathematics Day for Tuesday, March 30.
A presentation titled “Exponential Functions” will be given from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room, Alumni Memorial Union. From 1 to 2 p.m. in the same location, “Imipramine, Flight Plans and the Internal Revenue Service: What Do They Have in Common?” will be presented.
The presenter for the day is Ed Laughbaum, who has taught mathematics at the college level for 24 years. He currently teaches for the Teachers Teaching with Technology College Short Course Program and at The Ohio State University. He is also director of the Ohio Early College Mathematics Placement Testing Program and associate director of the Technology College Short Course Program.
The author of more than 40 publications, Laughbaum is co-editor of the Ohio Journal of School Mathematics.
