C.S. Lewis is Topic of Lecture at UF

Findlay, Ohio, March 8, 2004 —The religious studies and English programs at The University of Findlay will sponsor a lecture on “C.S. Lewis and the Christian Imagination: Re-enhancing the 21st Century” by Bruce Edwards on Wednesday, March 24, at 7 p.m. in the TLB Auditorium, Winebrenner Theological Seminary.
Edwards is professor of English and associate dean for distance education and international programs at Bowling Green State University. He has been teaching and lecturing on the works of C.S. Lewis in undergraduate and graduate seminars, summer workshops, church retreats and scholarly forums for more than 25 years. His lectures have spanned four continents, most recently Africa.
The author of A Rhetoric of Reading: C.S. Lewis’s Defense of Western Literacy, Edwards is the editor of The Taste of the Pineapple: C.S. Lewis as Reader, Critic and Imaginative Writer. He also maintains a popular Web site on the life and works of Lewis: http://personal.bgsu.edu/~edwards/lewis.html.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
