Combined Band Concert Planned

Findlay, Ohio, March 9, 2004 — The University of Findlay Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will hold a combined spring concert Sunday, April 4, at 3 p.m. in the TLB Auditorium, Winebrenner Theological Seminary.

Under the direction of Jack Taylor, professor of music at UF, the bands will perform such works as Poet and Peasant Overture, Orpheus in the Underworld and the Gustav Holst Suite in F.

Trisha Saunders, the first recipient of the John and Marion Van Nice Endowed Instrumental Music Scholarship, will be the featured euphonium soloist on the Curnow Concerto for Euphonium.

The concert will be highlighted by a combined band performance of Praise to the Lord by Nelhybel.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens. UF faculty, staff and students are admitted free with identification. To reserve tickets, call 419-434-4531.
