Juried Student Art Show on Exhibit at UF

Findlay, Ohio, April 2, 2004 — The University of Findlay’s Juried Student Art Exhibition is on display through April 23 in the Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery, Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The show, which consists of 105 works in a wide range of subject matters, was judged by the art program faculty. The awards judge was Jennifer Fell, a 1998 graduate of UF and an art teacher at Findlay High School.

The best in show award went o Hannah Evans of Findlay for her print “Nesting Tree.”

First place awards were given in each category. They went to Sara Caudill of DeGraff, Ohio, for her painting “Still As Life-Winter on My Mind;” Kevin Hart of Findlay for his drawing “Adrienne;” Beth Gahler of Graytown, Ohio, for her print “Untitled;” Dave Weinandy of Bucyrus, Ohio, for his ceramic piece “Teapot;” Kate Lantz of Van Buren for her sculpture “Tartaroukhosaurus;” Kimberly Feller of Arlington for her design “Homage to Frida;” Dawn Goller of Texarkana, Ark., for her photo “The English Violin;” and Eric Lee of Vanlue for his computer design “Legends of Music Stamp Series.”
