Emerson Drive to Perform at UF

Findlay, Ohio, Sept. 14, 2004 – Country-rock band Emerson Drive will perform Friday, Sept. 24, at 9 p.m. in the Koehler Fitness Complex, as part of The University of Findlay’s Homecoming festivities.

The band, consisting of lead vocalist Brad Mates, guitarist Danick Dupelle, bassist Patrick Bourque, keyboardist Dale Wallace, fiddler David Pichette and drummer Mike Melancon, was named Top New Vocal Duo/Group by the Academy of Country Music in 2003. Also in 2003 the band earned a nomination for the CMT Flameworthy Video Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year for the song “Fall Into Me.” The band is also the recipient of several awards in its native Canada.

“Fall Into Me” peaked at #3 on “Billboard’s” Hot Country chart, and the band’s self-titled album reached #13 on the Top Country Albums chart.

Tickets for the event are $20, and can be purchased Sept. 17-24 at the Student Activities Office in the Alumni Memorial Union. Office hours are 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. No tickets will be sold at the door.
