Findlay, Ohio, Sept. 20, 2004 – William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will open the 2004-05 theatre season at The University of Findlay Sept. 29-Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. in the John and Hester Powell Grimm Theatre.
Shakespeare’s brilliant magical comedy begins when two pairs of star-crossed lovers, a troop of inept amateur actors, a feuding pair of supernatural sprites and a love potion gone awry all come together in an enchanted moonlit forest. The hilarious result is an unequaled mixture of mischief and merriment. UF’s production will be performed in modern dress.
The UF production is directed by Scott Hayes. Cast members include Sean Kecskes as Theseus, James Stephani as Egeus, Nicholas Toland as Lysander, Chris Leitner as Demetrius, Katie Humphreys as Quince, Josh Hilborn as Snug, Matthew Harris as Bottom, Jim Morris as Flute, Andrea Coto as Snout, Chelsea Riggs as Hippolita, Christine Hollington as Hermia, Nikki Marie Coe as Helena, Matt Waugh as Oberon, Christen Mathern as Titania, Kyle Kutchenriter as Puck and the UF Dance Team as fairies.
