Findlay, Ohio, Nov. 17, 2004 – Quentin Skrabec Jr., Ph.D., assistant professor of business at The University of Findlay, has recently published a book, The Boys of Braddock: The Genealogy of a Town that Changed Industrial History.
The book, published by Heritage Books Inc., traces the lives of a group of boyhood friends from Braddock, Pa., a steel mill town. The boys eventually headed three of the top ten industrial firms in the country at the turn of the 19th century. According to Skrabec’s book, these men helped to change the United States’ industrial history, to advance the science of management and bring social considerations to the workplace.
