Findlay, Ohio, Nov. 19, 2004 – The University of Findlay Concert Bands will present their annual Christmas concert, “Sounds of the Season,” on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m., in the Winebrenner Theological Seminary TLB Foundation Convocation Center, adjacent to the UF campus.
The concert will feature seasonal music, including selections from the “Nutcracker Suite,” “Babes in Toyland” and other holiday favorites. Steve Beck, assistant professor of communication at UF, will narrate the program. Professional harpist and adjunct harp instructor Nancy Glick will provide harp interludes during the concert.
Professor of Music and Director of Bands Jack Taylor will direct the concert.

The University has six performing musical groups – Marching/Pep Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Concert-Chorale and University Singers.
UF offers a minor in musical arts, which requires 24 semester hours of coursework. Students may take classes in a variety of courses, including Music for the Primary Teacher, Elementary Music Theory, Rock Music Styles and private vocal and instrumental lessons.
