Auditions for Promises, Promises Planned at The University of Findlay

Findlay, Ohio, Nov. 24, 2004 – The University of Findlay’s Theatre Program will hold open auditions for the musical comedy Promises, Promises on Dec. 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. in The Frank J. Egner Center for the Performing Arts.
Those wishing to audition should prepare a song and be ready to do choreography, read from the script and sing selections from the score. A copy of the script is on reserve at the University’s Shafer Library.
Promises, Promises, with music by Burt Bacharach, lyrics by Hal David and book by Neil Simon, is based from the 1960 Academy Award-winning motion picture, The Apartment. The cast will be composed of a large dancing chorus and 32 named roles.
Performance dates are set for Feb. 23-27.

The University of Findlay’s Theatre Program offers students the opportunity to study theatre history, acting techniques and stage design and production. Program graduates receive bachelor’s degrees in theatre with emphases in either performance or production design and technology. The theatre program stages four dramatic productions during the academic year, and UF SummerStock presents three plays or musical each summer.
