UF Students Present Vocal Recital

Findlay, Ohio, Nov. 29, 2004 – Twenty-eight students from The University of Findlay will present a studio voice recital Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. in Old Main’s Ritz Auditorium.
The performers, students of University music instructors Vivan Robles Dettbarn and Lance Ashmore, will present vocal solos and familiar show tunes, including “Look to the Rainbow” from “Finian’s Rainbow,” “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?” from “My Fair Lady” and “Till There Was You” from “The Music Man.”
Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.
The University has six performing musical groups – Marching/Pep Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Concert-Chorale and University Singers.
The University of Findlay offers a minor in musical arts, which requires 24 semester hours of coursework. Students may take classes in a variety of courses, including Music for the Primary Teacher, Elementary Music Theory, Rock Music Styles and private vocal and instrumental lessons.
