Wachtmann to Visit UF

Findlay, Ohio, Nov. 6, 2004 – Ohio Sen. Lynn Wachtmann, R-Napoleon, will meet with students at The University of Findlay Monday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
Wachtmann, who represents Ohio’s first district, will have dinner with 11 UF students and give a presentation, “The Effect of the November Election on Ohio.”
The students who will be meeting with Wachtmann are enrolled in Associate Professor Paul Chwialkowski’s “Political Parties and Pressure Groups” class.
Chwialkowski is co-director of law and liberal arts program and associate professor of social science, criminal justice and public administration. His class discussing political parties studies the history, organizations and functions of political parties and pressure groups. Students examine the methods of political action with emphasis on nomination, election, campaign finance and lobbying.
