Findlay, Ohio, Dec. 2, 2004 – The University of Findlay’s theatre program will present “Two from Galilee” Dec. 17-18 at 8 p.m in the Winebrenner Theological Seminary TLB Foundation Convocation Center, adjacent to campus.
“Two from Galilee,” a dramatic musical based on the book by Marjorie Holmes, is built on the love story of Mary and Joseph and how God encounters people in their lives.
The musical will be produced by the University and the Parable Theatre Company in partnership with New Life Assembly of God, St. Andrews United Methodist Church and St. Marks United Methodist Church.
Associate Professor of Theatre Scott Hayes is the musical’s director. “Two from Galilee” stars Sara Cockerell as Mary, Christen Mathern as Deborah, Kathy Newell as Hannah, Jean Waaland as Ruth, Steve Huffman as Joachim, Janet Steffy as Timna, Chad Burleson as Joseph, Erin Plescher as Leah, Chip Steffy as Jacob, Jerry Murray as Balthazar, Shawn Hooks as Gabriel, Jerry Mathern as Kaspar and Mark Simmons as Melchior. Other cast members include Mark Simons, Kyle Kutchenriter, Matt Harris, Gregg Wozniak, Martin Reno, Chuck Clapper and Bev Roby.
