UF Students ‘Deck the Trees’ For Christmas

Dec. 6, 2004, Findlay, Ohio – Students from The University of Findlay will show of their creativity and Christmas spirit for the University’s fourth annual Deck the Trees contest on Thursday, Dec. 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union.
The event, which is free, and open to the public, is sponsored by UF’s chapter of the Public Relations Students Society of America (PRSSA).
More than 50 students from various student organizations are expected to compete in the tree-decorating contest for a chance to win money for their organization. This year’s theme is “A Candy Coated Christmas.” According to Kelly Hancock, president of PRSSA, approximately 21 trees will be adorned with decorations ranging from traditional holiday lights and garland to CD’s and candy bars.
The tree will be on display in the union through Sunday, Dec. 12.
