UF Faculty Promotions and Tenure Announced

Feb. 23, 2005, Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay Board of Trustees approved five faculty members for promotion during the recent board meeting. The following faculty members at The University of Findlay have been promoted from assistant to associate professor:

Dr. Michael Edelbrock, associate professor in the School of Environmental and Emergency Management. Edelbrock holds a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Cincinnati; a M.S. in environmental management from UF; and is completing a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the Medical College of Ohio. He is commended for his research activities at MCO and promotion of student-involved research activities on campus and at MCO.

Dr. Robert Frampton, director of the Physical Therapy Program and associate professor of physical therapy. Frampton holds a B.S. in health sciences/physical therapy from Duquesne University; a M.P.T. in physical therapy from Duquesne University; and a D.H.C.E. in health care ethics from Duquesne. He is commended for his leadership and advising roles in physical therapy and University service.

Dr. Quentin Skrabec, associate professor of business. Skrabec holds a B.S. in material engineering from the University of Michigan; a M.S. in metallurgical engineering from The Ohio State University; a M.B.A. from Robert Morris College; and a Ph.D. in manufacturing management from the University of Toledo. He is commended for his scholarship activities, including several published books, service, and curriculum development for operations management and logistics.

Dr. Matthew Stolick, associate professor of philosophy. Stolick holds a B.A. in philosophy from Westminster College; a M.A. and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Tennessee. He is commended for his strong publication record in ethics, his commitment to undergraduate teaching and service learning, and University service. Stolick was also awarded tenure.

Prof. John Wolper, area director of the Hospitality Management Program and associate professor of business. Wolper holds a B.S. and a M.S. in hotel, restaurant and travel administration from the University of Massachusetts; and is completing a Ed.D. in leadership administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is commended for outstanding service and establishment of facilities and internship opportunities for hospitality management.
