UF’s “Bullshot Crummond” Opens April 13
Wednesday, March 30, 2005

Findlay, Ohio, March 30, 2005 – The University of Findlay’s honorary theatre fraternity, Alpha Psi Omega, will present the comedy “Bullshot Crummond” April 13-16 at 8 p.m. and April 17 at 6 p.m. in the John and Hester Powell Grimm Theatre.

Written by Alan Sherman, Derek Cunningham, Diz White, John Neville Andrews and Ron House, “Bullshot Crummond” spoofs B-rated detective movies from the 1930s. The humor centers around bad thinking, outrageous costumes and unrealistic props. In the comedy, well-known detective Hugh “Bullshot” Crummond balances chasing criminal Otto Von Brunno with trying to win the love of Rosemary Fenton.

UF’s production of “Bullshot Crummond” is primarily student-run.

While UF faculty members Joann Chase and Andrew Southard serve as the comedy’s director and technical director, students Dawn Reens and Yuko Nakayama are scenic designers and Ryan Gravett is the lighting designer. “Bullshot Crummond” stars Kyle Kutchenriter as the title role, Christen Mathern as Rosemary Fenton, Gregg Wozniak as Otto Von Brunno/Salvatore Scalicio, Christine Hollington as Lenya Von Brunno and Matthew Harris as Algy Longworth, Prof. Rupert Fenton, a country policeman, the Carlton waiter, Inspector Scabbard of the Yard, Wolfgang Schmidt and Marovitch.
