Executives Offer Business Outlook at UF

Findlay, Ohio, April 11, 2005 – Top retired management executives from Findlay will present “What the Future Holds in the Real World” at The University of Findlay on Tuesday, April 12 at noon in the Winebrenner Theological Seminary TLB Foundation Convocation Center.

David S. Healy, Charles J. Younger, Carl R. Patterson and J. Alec Reinhardt will hold a panel discussion evaluating ways to be successful in the business world.

The discussion is free and open to the public.

All of the speakers have served as a Dana Chair Executive-in-Residence at the University. The chair was established through a gift from the Dana Corporation to strengthen ties between the academic and practicing sides of the business community.

Dana Chairs typically teach in the College of Business and serve as guest lecturers throughout the University. They also serve as advisers for outstanding undergraduate business students who are designated as Dana Scholars by the College of Business faculty.

Healy has served as Dana Chair since 2003. He was owner of Spencer Patterson Insurance in Findlay for 25 years, retiring in 1996. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Hanover College.

Reinhardt served as Dana Chair from 2000-01. He retired in 1999 as executive vice president and chief financial officer and director of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. Reinhardt holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and master of business administration and juris doctorate degrees from The Ohio State University.

Patterson was UF’s Dana Chair during the 1997-98 academic year. Patterson retired as general manager/secretary of G.S.W. Manufacturing Inc. in Findlay. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in business administration form Michigan State University.

Younger served as UF’s Dana Chair for the 1996-97 academic year. After a long career in telephone and cable services, he retired as executive vice president of Continental Cablevision Inc. He is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University.
