UF Students Present Vocal Recital

Findlay, Ohio, April 11, 2005 – Twenty-five students from The University of Findlay will present a studio voice recital Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m. in Old Main’s Ritz Auditorium.
The singers, students of University music instructors Dr. Vivan Robles Dettbarn and Lance Ashmore, will present vocal solos ranging from classical art songs to Broadway tunes. Accompaniment for the performances will be played by Kelly Lewis, UF staff accompanist.
Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.
About Music at The University of Findlay
The University has six performing musical groups – Oiler Brass, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Concert-Chorale and University Singers.
The University of Findlay offers a minor in musical arts, which requires 24 semester hours of coursework. Students may take classes in a variety of courses, including Music for the Primary Teacher, Elementary Music Theory, Rock Music Styles and private vocal and instrumental lessons.
