Jazz Ensemble Swings in the Spring

Findlay, Ohio, April 12, 2005 – The University of Findlay Jazz Ensemble will present its annual spring concert on Sunday, April 24 at 3 p.m. in the Winebrenner Theological Seminary TLB Foundation Convocation Center.
Under the direction of Norm Damschroder and Jack Taylor, the band will offer a variety of works for jazz ensemble from the classic big band sounds of the 1940s to more contemporary works for jazz bands.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and non-UF students and free for University faculty, staff and students. Contact the Box Office at 419-434-5335.
About UF’s Music Program
The University has six performing musical groups – Marching/Pep Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Concert-Chorale and University Singers.
UF offers a minor in musical arts, which requires 24 semester hours of coursework. Students may take classes in a variety of courses, including Music for the Primary Teacher, Elementary Music Theory, Rock Music Styles and private vocal and instrumental lessons.
