UF Concert-Chorale Will Perform April 17

Findlay, Ohio, April 6, 2005– The University of Findlay Concert-Chorale and the Findlay-Area Community Chorus will hold their annual spring concert on Sunday, April 17 at 3 p.m. in the Winebrenner Theological Seminary TLB Foundation Convocation Center.

The choruses will present Gabriel Fauré’s “Requiem” and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Five Mystical Songs.”

The concert will feature solos by baritone Lance Ashmore. Ashmore is a lecturer of voice at the University.

The 65-voice UF Concert-Chorale is conducted by Dr. Micheal F. Anders, professor of music.

About Music at The University of Findlay

In addition to Concert-Chorale, the University has five other performing musical groups – Oiler Brass, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and University Singers.

UF offers a minor in musical arts, which requires 24 semester hours of coursework. Students may take classes in a variety of courses, including Music for the Primary Teacher, Elementary Music Theory, Rock Music Styles and private vocal and instrumental lessons.
