Aug. 22, 2005, Findlay, Ohio – Dr. Shiv Gupta, professor of marketing and economics at The University of Findlay, says that drivers can expect to see the price of a gallon of gas continue to rise.
According to Gupta, gas prices may go over $4 per gallon in coming months, but stay below $5. “Gas prices will continue to rise. All indicators show that the price may stabilize between $3 and $4 per gallon,” Gupta explained. He also predicted that the days when a gallon of gas cost $1.50 are over.
Gupta added that to help stabilize gas prices, the Federal Government should start withdrawing gas from emergency reserves. However, he does not believe that this is a step the government will take.
Gupta specializes in micro and macroeconomics and marketing strategies. Gupta has nearly 40 years of teaching and research experience in the fields of economics and marketing.
