UF Appoints New Faculty

Sept. 12, 2005, Findlay, Ohio – Dr. Dan Yates, Cheng-Yuan Lee and Cheri Hampton-Farmer have been appointed to The University of Findlay’s faculty.

Yates will serve as an assistant professor of business in the University’s College of Business. Yates holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tiffin University, a master of business administration degree from the University of Dayton, a master of organizational development degree from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in management from Northcentral University. Prior to coming to UF, he led the tax department through process mapping and worked as an analyst in sales accounting, operations analysis and financial reporting for Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC. He also served as auditor of the State’s Office in Columbus, Ohio. He taught at Tiffin University, the University of Northwestern Ohio and Defiance College. He is the former chair of trustees for Arlington United Methodist Church and is a Sunday School teacher.

Lee will serve as an assistant professor of education in the University’s College of Education. Lee hold’s a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Chung-Yuan University, a master’s degree in instructional technology from the University of Tennessee and a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Central Florida. Lee has served as an academic technology specialist for the University since 2003. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant for Enliten Networking and Information Systems, and a part-time photojournalist for New Tang Dynasty Television in Houston, Texas.

Hampton-Farmer will serve as assistant professor of communication in the University’s College of Liberal Arts.

Hampton-Farmer holds a bachelor’s degree in speech education from Bob Jones University, a CLA in paralegal studies from Capital University Law School, a master’s degree in communication studies from Bowling Green State University, and is a Ph.D. candidate in communication studies from Bowling Green State University. She has served as a teaching assistant for numerous communication classes at Bowling Green State University, and as an adjunct instructor at Cedarville University and Owens Community College.
