Sept. 12, 2005, Findlay, Ohio– The University of Findlay’s 2005-06 Oiler Leadership Luncheon Series will feature a number of presentations on topics such as personal financial planning, developing leadership skills and protecting yourself against identity theft.

The schedule for this year’s series is:

Sept. 21 - “Making Your Leadership Count,” presented by Sharinda Welton-Peeler, director of UF’s Student Activities and Commuter Student Services;

Oct. 26 - “Energize Your Wallet…Hidden Secrets to Savings on Utilities,” presented by Amy Carles, outreach and education specialist for The Ohio Consumer’s Council;

Nov. 16 - “Taking Opportunities and Risks…An Ironman Experience for the Everyday Man,” presented by Brian Robertson, executive coordinator, Minority Business Development Services, LLC.;

Dec. 7 - “Identity Theft…Protect Yourself, Protect Your Reputation,” presented by Greg Benedict, investigator in the Consumer Protection Section at the Ohio Attorney General’s Cleveland Office, and Tom McGuire, assistant attorney general for the Consumer Protection Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in Cleveland, Ohio;

Jan. 25 - “Leadership…Making Sense of Your Technical Communication Choices,” presented by Amy Carles, outreach and education specialist from The Ohio Consumer’s Council;

Feb. 15 - “Leadership…Understanding Your Community,” presented by Findlay Mayor Tony Iriti;

March 22 - “The Business Case for Diversity,” presented by Mark Butler, manager of diversity, Marathon Ashland Petroleum; and

April 26 - “Leadership In Review,” presented by Sharinda Welton-Peeler, director of UF’s Student Activities and Commuter Student Services.

All sessions will be held at noon in the Rosewood Room in UF’s Henderson Dining Hall. Participants may pack a lunch or purchase a lunch from the dining hall.
