UF Faculty Members to Present at Ohio Communication Conference

Sept. 23, 2005, Findlay, Ohio – Several faculty members from The University of Findlay will discuss their senior assessment class at the 69th Annual Conference of the Ohio Communication Conference in Dayton on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The conference will be held at Sinclair Community College and is a one-day event that offers workshops and sessions on communication scholarship.

During the conference, Dr. Diana Montague, professor of English, David Foster, associate professor of communication, Dr. Jon Gordon, director of the Communication Program, Steve Beck, associate professor of communication, James Greenwood, associate professor of communication, and Dr. Jeanette Drake, associate professor of communication, will present “An In-Depth Look at an Acclaimed Senior Capstone Course in Communication Studies.”

Adding their perspective will be current students and alumnae: Katie Gartner, Kelly Hancock and Whitney Haverfield.

The presentation will allow attendees to learn more about a senior capstone course in communication that relies heavily upon new technologies and was recently praised by the Higher Learning Commission in their accreditation visit to The University of Findlay.
