Toledo Symphony Concert at UF

Oct. 12, 2005, Findlay, Ohio – The Toledo Symphony Orchestra will present a concert Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. in the Winebrenner Seminary Auditorium, adjacent to The University of Findlay campus.

The concert is part of the University’s Concert & Lecture Series.

Conducted by Chelsea Tipton II, the orchestra will perform Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, one of the world’s more admired and popular symphonies. The program will also include “Marche Slave Opus 31” by Tchaikovsky and “The Red Violin: Chaconne for Violin and Orchestra” by Corigliano.

Now in its 62nd season, the Toledo Symphony Orchestra has recently received renewal of a major grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation of New York for the quality of its music.

Tickets for the concert are $25 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and $10 for students. Admission for UF students is free, but a ticket is required. Tickets are available by calling the UF Box Office at 419-434-5335.
