Findlay Named One of “America’s Best Private Colleges”

Oct. 17, 2005, Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay has been recognized as one of “America’s Best Private Colleges.”
The selection of The University of Findlay was based on an evaluation of the nation’s private colleges and universities by Institutional Research and Evaluation, Inc., an independent research organization specializing in higher education. The company surveyed 1,459 four-year institutions to identify schools with an academically superior student body.
To be considered for this designation, an institution must be an accredited, non-publicly supported, four-year institution offering bachelor degrees; provide full residential facilities, including residence halls and dining services; and have an entering freshman class in the fall with a high school grade point average and/or ACT/SAT score equal to or above the national average for freshman entering private institutions of higher education.
The University of Findlay is a four-year comprehensive university located in Findlay, Ohio, about 45 miles south of Toledo. With a total enrollment of more than 4,500 full-time and part-time students, The University of Findlay is noted for its innovative, career-oriented programs in 65 majors and eight master’s degrees.
