Findlay, Ohio – Approximately 20 area children spent Saturday afternoon celebrating the Christmas season at a party hosted by UF students.

Children from Jacobs Primary School and Washington Intermediate School participated in the University’s first “Christmas on Campus” celebration which was held Saturday, Dec. 3 in the Alumni Memorial Union.

As part of the event, each child was paired with a student in UF’s Hospitality Management Program for a free, fun-filled afternoon. The activities included making crafts, frosting cookies, story time and getting their pictures taken with Santa Claus.

According to Paula Wolper, assistant professor of hospitality management, this event was organized by UF students as a way to become more involved with the Findlay community.
