UF to Host Screening of Wal-Mart Documentaries

Findlay, Ohio – A screening of two documentaries about the retail
corporation Wal-Mart will be held Monday, Dec. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. in
the Winebrenner Theological Seminary TLB Convocation Center, adjacent
to The University of Findlay campus.
The documentaries are “The High Cost of Low Prices,” an anti-Wal-Mart
documentary, and “Wal-Mart and Working Families,” the company’s
rebuttal to the anti-Wal-Mart documentary.
Following the screening, an open discussion about the issues addressed
in the documentaries will be moderated by Mike Needler, CEO of Fresh
Encounters; Dr. Chris Ward, UF assistant professor of business; and
Robert Rustic, UF assistant professor of business.
In addition, students from the University’s Marketing Club will
demonstrate a price comparison for a group of items from a number of
area retail companies including Wal-Mart.
