UF to Host Screening of Wal-Mart Documentaries
Friday, December 02, 2005

Findlay, Ohio – A screening of two documentaries about the retail corporation Wal-Mart will be held Monday, Dec. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Winebrenner Theological Seminary TLB Convocation Center, adjacent to The University of Findlay campus.

The documentaries are “The High Cost of Low Prices,” an anti-Wal-Mart documentary, and “Wal-Mart and Working Families,” the company’s rebuttal to the anti-Wal-Mart documentary.

Following the screening, an open discussion about the issues addressed in the documentaries will be moderated by Mike Needler, CEO of Fresh Encounters; Dr. Chris Ward, UF assistant professor of business; and Robert Rustic, UF assistant professor of business.

In addition, students from the University’s Marketing Club will demonstrate a price comparison for a group of items from a number of area retail companies including Wal-Mart.
