Environmental Professor Awarded National Fellowship

Findlay, Ohio – Dr. Tim Murphy, assistant professor of environmental,
safety and health management at The University of Findlay, has been
chosen as a fellow for the 2006 Environmental Public Health Leadership
Institute.
 Sponsored
by the Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Disease
Control, the honor is a competitive application and award process,
designed to strengthen leadership capacity of environmental public
health employees throughout the country.
According to Murphy, the fellowship will enable him to bring more
experience to the classroom. “With the education and training obtained
through this institute, I will be better able to develop the
environmental public health workforce of the future,” stated Murphy.
The Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute is a one-year
program consisting of four to five onsite and remote training events
and a problem-solving project.
