Thursday, January 26, 2006

Findlay, Ohio – Dr. Tim Murphy, assistant professor of environmental, safety and health management at The University of Findlay, has been chosen as a fellow for the 2006 Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute.

Sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Disease Control, the honor is a competitive application and award process, designed to strengthen leadership capacity of environmental public health employees throughout the country.

According to Murphy, the fellowship will enable him to bring more experience to the classroom. “With the education and training obtained through this institute, I will be better able to develop the environmental public health workforce of the future,” stated Murphy.

The Environmental Public Health Leadership Institute is a one-year program consisting of four to five onsite and remote training events and a problem-solving project.
