Presentation on Chinese Business Culture to be Held

Findlay, Ohio—Dr. Galal Walker, director of the National Chinese
Flagship Program at The Ohio State University, will present “Doing
Business with China” Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. at The University of
Findlay’s Alumni Memorial Union.
Walker will use his experiences from the program, which prepares
American students to work in China, to discuss cultural aspects of
communication.
A reception will immediately follow the event.
Walker is the director of The Ohio State University’s National East
Asian Languages Resource Center (NEALRC). Founded in 1993 as the
National Foreign Language Resource Center, the center is designed to
increase learners' abilities to master advanced levels of language and
cultural competence.
Walker is also a humanities professor in the Department of East Asian
Languages and Literatures (DEALL) at The Ohio State University. DEALL
is one of the largest programs of its kind in the continental United
States.
