UF to Host Education Expo for Students
Thursday, March 30, 2006

Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay will host the annual Education Expo from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5.

The Education Expo is a teacher recruiting event co-sponsored each spring by Ashland University, Bluffton University, Defiance College, Heidelberg College, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Ohio Northern University and The University of Findlay.

UF is expecting 400 education majors from the sponsoring schools to spend the day meeting with representatives of school systems from across the country looking to fill teaching vacancies. More than 100 school districts from across the country will be in attendance, coming from as far away as Manteca, Calif., and as close as Lima, Ohio.

The closed-door event will be held in the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex at The University of Findlay. Students from sponsoring schools may visit the Expo from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Scheduled interviews will then take place from 9:40 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and from 12:45 p.m. to 4:25 p.m.

Education Expo is part of the larger Buckeye Bonanza recruiting event coordinated by institutions of higher education across the state, giving students the opportunity to network and meet potential employers from across the country.
