Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay’s School of Environmental and
Emergency Management (SEEM) will present a live training webcast
instructing the emergency response community on how to handle
clandestine methamphetamine labs at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 6.
The 60-minute live ALERT Emergency Response Training Webcast will be a
full-scale simulation of the verification, entry, arrest,
decontamination and medical response that results from the report of a
suspected methamphetamine “cooking lab.” Police, emergency medical
technicians, hazmat specialists and social service providers will
conduct the simulation.

Members of the press are invited to a “behind-the-scenes” look at how
the ground-breaking ALERT Emergency Response Training Webcast is
conducted. The scenario will take place at the Ohio Logistics Warehouse
on Fostoria Road, Findlay, Ohio. Randal Van Dyne, executive director of
SEEM, will be available for media interviews beginning at 2:30 p.m.
