Spring Concert Features Soloists and Mozart

Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay Concert-Chorale will present
its “Spring Concert: Celebrating the 250th Birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart” at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 9, in the Winebrenner Theological
Seminary TLB Convocation Center, adjacent to the UF campus.
Dr. Micheal F. Anders, director of choral activities and professor of
music, will conduct the 70-voice choir in two famous Mozart
pieces: “Regina Coeli,” K. 321b and “Coronation Mass,” K. 317. A
third piece, “Mass in G” by Franz Schubert, also will be performed.
All three compositions will have orchestral accompaniment and feature
UF student soloists from the Concert-Chorale. The soloists are:
“Regina Coeli”
- Kasey Lugg, soprano. Lugg is a sophomore communication and psychology major from Marion, Ohio.
- Christen Mathern, alto. Mathern is a senior theatre performance and English major from Findlay.
- Ryan Ayers, tenor. Ayers is a junior pre-medicine major from Port Allegany, Pa.
- Kirt Schnipke, baritone. Schnipke is a freshman pre-physical therapy and nuclear medicine technology major from Pandora, Ohio.
“Coronation Mass”
- Holly Butler, soprano. Butler is a freshman communication major from Moral, Ohio.
- January Blank, alto. Blank is a senior theatre major from Findlay, Ohio.
- Derin Tolu, tenor. Tolu is a sophomore theatre major from Hillsborough, Calif.
- Justin Davis, baritone. Davis is a sophomore theatre major from Findlay, Ohio.
“Mass in G”
- Nicole Ickes, soprano. Ickes is a freshman early childhood education major from Massillon, Ohio.
- Jeremy Stewart, tenor. Stewart is a freshman psychology major from Oklahoma City, Okla.
- Erik Christensen,
baritone. Christensen is a senior environmental safety and occupational
health management and public administration major from Findlay, Ohio.
