Baccalaureate Service to Be Held May 6 in Ritz Auditorium

The University of Findlay baccalaureate service for the spring class of
2006 will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6, in the Ritz Auditorium, Old
Main.
Dale R. Brougher, Ph.D., an ordained minister of the Churches of God,
General Conference and a member of the UF faculty for nearly 20 years,
will serve as speaker for the service. Brougher, an associate professor
of religion, served as Dean of the College of Liberal Arts from
1994-2005 and as chair of the Humanities Division from 1992-94. Prior
to coming to UF, he pastored churches in New Cumberland and Harrisburg,
Pa.
A 1976 graduate of The University of Findlay with a bachelor of science
in religion, he also holds a master of divinity degree from Winebrenner
Theological Seminary, a master of theology degree from Princeton
Theological Seminary and a master of business administration from UF,
as well as a doctorate in higher education administration and
supervision from Bowling Green State University.
Led by Pastor Will Miller, director of Christian ministries at the
University, the service will also include celebratory music and prayers.
The public is invited to attend.
The baccalaureate service is among the events leading up to Saturday’s
commencement ceremony at 2 p.m., during which more than 700 students will graduate.
