UF Hosts Statewide Envirothon
Friday, May 26, 2006

Dozens of high school students from across Ohio will visit The University of Findlay campus June 11-13 for the 2006 Ohio Envirothon.

The event will kick off the afternoon of Sunday, June 11, with registration at the Alumni Memorial Union Atrium. On Monday, June 12, students will then be taken to a secret location where they will conduct field tests in a series of environmental settings.  Participants will also deliver a 5-minute presentation and answer a series of questions pertaining to their experiences.

Aside from getting a glimpse of college life at UF, Envirothon participants will also attend team-building activities and take advantage of campus facilities such as the gymnasium, ice rink and swimming pool.

The following high schools will participate in the event: Anna Local, Athens, Bluffton, Chardon, Carrollton, Fort Jennings, Franklin, Granville, Holgate, Indian Creek, LaBrae, Logan, Northmont, Onley Friends School, Oregon Clay, Triway, Vinton County and Waynesdale.

The winning team will proceed to the Canon Envirothon held in Manitoba, Canada, in late July.
