Dillon Named Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies

The University of Findlay has announced that Dr. Thomas Dillon will
serve as dean of graduate and professional studies, effective Aug. 1.
In this newly established position, Dillon will expand and enhance
graduate programming.
 “Dr. Dillon’s doctoral work and continuing research in educational
leadership adds a new dimension to the administration of academic
affairs at UF. We are looking forward to adding more graduate
programming, and Dr. Dillon will lead those efforts,” said Dr. Daniel
May, vice president for academic affairs at The University of Findlay.
Dillon has served UF since 2001 as an associate professor and director
of occupational therapy. Prior to coming to the University, he was a
faculty member at Duquesne University, Pa., and The College of St.
Scholastica, Minn., where he was chair of the occupational therapy
department and co-chair of health sciences.
Dillon holds a bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy from
the University of New Hampshire and a master of arts degree in clinical
psychology from American International College, Mass. He earned his
doctorate in educational leadership from the University of St. Thomas,
Minn.
“Graduate and professional education has become an integral part of
both The University of Findlay and our society today. As the new
graduate dean, I intend to support our excellent graduate faculty in
their efforts to deliver contemporary, quality programs that meet the
needs of those we serve. The continued growth and success of our
graduate and professional programs will be an essential part of a
healthy future for The University of Findlay,” said Dillon.
