Village Café Open at UF
Sunday, September 24, 2006
The University of Findlay’s Village Café is open for the fall semester.
The Village Café, located in The University of Findlay Village at 424
Frazer St., is open Tuesdays 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The cost for each
meal is $8, including tax.
The facility utilizes students from three classes in the University’s
Hospitality Management Program to create a dining experience for
patrons. The beginning class learns the fundamentals of dining room
management and acts as the servers for the meal. The second class,
learning to cook in large quantities, prepares the food. The third
class acts as managers of the facility. Each meal is developed
and managed by a student in this class. The dining room serves as a
hands-on classroom for those in the hospitality management program at
UF.
A different theme will be featured each day the Village Café is open.
The theme for the next lunch on Sept. 26 will be “Happy Thanksgiving.”
Other themes for this semester include: “The Finer Side of Findlay,” “A
Day in Rome,” “Sit Back and Relax, Meatloaf is Back,” “Famoso Italiano”
and “A Corner on the Champs-Elysees.” Menus can be accessed via the
University’s website. Use KEYWORD: village café.
Reservations are required prior to the meal and may be made by calling
419-434-4097 Monday through Friday or 419-434-4058 the day of the meal.
When making a reservation, leave a name, phone number, number in the
party and any special requests. A student will return your call with a
confirmation of your reservation. Meals are available for take-out, as
well, but reservations are still required.
