UF Faculty Expert to Discuss Terrorism and the Middle East

| The University of Findlay’s Faculty Roundtable will meet at 3:15 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 4, in the Rosewood Room, located in Deming Residence
Hall, for a discussion titled “What is terrorism?” The discussion will
be led by Middle East expert Dennis Stevens, Ph.D., dean of the College
of Liberal Arts.
Stevens holds a doctorate in political science from Boston College and
a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kenyon College in
Gambier, Ohio.
He has had several works published in publications such as the American
Political Science Review and the Political Science Reviewer, and he has
presented topics such as “Intelligent Design and the Constitution,”
“International Terrorism” and “Terrorism in the Modern World” to a
variety of audiences. Stevens has also published two books:
“Religion, Politics and the Law,” co-authored with Peter Schotten, and
“Challenges to Peace in the Middle East,” both published by Allyn and
Bacon/Longman.
