Saturday, November 18, 2006
Students at The University of Findlay are collecting new and used
coats; new gloves, mittens and hats; and monetary donations Nov. 27
through Dec. 1 as part of the community-wide annual Coats for Christmas
campaign.
The University’s effort is led by three UF
organizations including Campus Compact, Physical Therapy Organization
and Alpha Sigma Phi.
Collection boxes will be located on campus in Old
Main, the Alumni Memorial Union, Winebrenner Seminary and the Davis
Street building. UF students, faculty and staff who wish to make a
monetary donation may send a check to The University of Findlay, Attn:
Crystal Jones, 1000 N. Main St., Findlay, Ohio, 45840, with checks made
payable to The University of Findlay. Members of the on-campus Coats
for Christmas committee will use the funds to purchase new hats,
mittens and gloves.
City Dry Cleaning & Laundry Co. will clean used
coats at no cost. Donated items will be distributed to community
members Dec. 9-10 at Washington Intermediate School.
Community supporters of the city-wide campaign
include Hancock Leadership Alumni Assoc., ECLIPSe (Emerging Community
Leaders Investing in Philanthropic Service), Garner Transportation
