Attorneys Dispel Immigration Employment Myths at UF’s Global Workforce Presentation
Friday, November 17, 2006
Is your business ready to diversify its workforce but isn’t sure what’s
legal? At 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, in the Alumni Memorial Union, The
University of Findlay’s Office of Career Services will sponsor a global
workforce presentation featuring nationally recognized immigration
attorneys Mark Rhoads and Helen Konrad to answer questions about
immigration employment.
Free and open to the community, the informative
session will demystify the rules governing the employment of foreign
individuals. Attendees are invited to come with questions about
procedures related to immigration employment. Representatives from all
types of businesses are encouraged to attend.
Rhoads and Konrad are directors in the Immigration
Practice Group of McCandlish Holton, a corporation that focuses on
business and legal strategies for the global marketplace.
Rhoads specializes in temporary visas and permanent
resident green cards, and he provides advice for employers on how to
simplify the legal requirements involved with hiring foreign personnel.
Konrad focuses on employment-based and professional
immigration. A member of the National Task force of the American
Immigration Lawyers Association related to J visa issues, she has
spoken on immigration reform before a Congressional panel.
This event is free, but reservations are requested
to plan accordingly. Contact the UF Office of Career Services at
