Broadway Star and Grammy-Nominated Conductor to Perform at UF

Hugh Panaro has an extensive 
performance history on Broadway
and in London.

Hugh Panaro, who has an extensive performance history on Broadway and in London, will perform “An Evening with Hugh Panaro” with pianist and Tiffin, Ohio, native Phil Reno at 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, in Winebrenner Theological Seminary.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for students and senior citizens and free to UF students, faculty and staff with UF identification. To purchase tickets, contact the UF Box Office at 419-434-5335. Tickets also will be available at the door.

Panaro has performed leading roles in many Broadway musicals including “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Lestat,” “Les Misérables,” “The Red Shoes,” “Show Boat” and “Side Show.” He has toured nationally with “Les Misérables” and “Martin Guerre.” His London theatre credits include productions of “Show Boat” and “Martin Guerre.” For off-Broadway and regional theatre shows, Panaro has had leading roles in “Sweeney Todd,” “Merrily We Roll Along,” “Wuthering Heights,” “Children of Eden,” “Company,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “A Little Night Music” and others.

the Grammy-nominated show
“The Drowsy Chaperone.”
Reno is currently the musical director and vocal arranger for the Grammy-nominated hit Broadway show “The Drowsy Chaperone.” He also has served as musical director for Broadway productions including “The Producers,” “Cats” and “Thou Shalt Not.” Reno has toured nationally with “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Starlight Express,” “Sweet Charity” and “Music of the Night: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber.”
